Brad Pitt Relives Assassination Glory at Venice Fest
Brad Pitt thought his luggage felt a little light when he left Italy last summer.
In town to do some good and herald the premiere of his new film, Burn After Reading, the actor was unexpectedly presented Wednesday with the Best Actor trophy he won last year for The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford during the opening ceremony of the 65th Venice International Film Festival.
"You can run but you can't hide," Pitt said, accepting the engraved gold cup from the mistress of ceremonies, who also congratulated him on the twin additions to his family.
Forget Tori! Luke Perry Is 90210's Most Wanted
If Luke Perry does decide to reprise his role as Dylan McKay on the new 90210, the 42-year-old former television heartthrob is likely to get lots of attention.
And not just from regular ol' fans.
"Oh. My. God. I love Dylan McKay," Shenae Grimes, who plays Annie Wilson on the new 90210, says in Nylon magazine. "If I ever meet Luke Perry I may collapse. I don't know what I'll do."
Same goes for one of her costars, Jessica Stroup...

SNL Plucks Michael Phelps Out of the Hosting Pool
Saturday Night Live is looking to make a splash this season.
The aging sketch series has tapped Olympic golden boy Michael Phelps to host its 34th-season premiere Sept. 13 on NBC, which probably wouldn't mind basking in the glow from its history-making coverage of the Beijing Games a little longer.
Aside from all the commercials and inevitable talk-show spots, this will be the first "acting" role for Phelps, whose world-record-smashing, eight-gold-medal-winning performance at the Summer Olympics made him the poster boy of U.S. swimming for generations to come and won him the hearts of millions of admiring fans.

Barack Obama's Fashionable Fundraising
It's fashionable to support Barack Obama.
Just ask Sarah Jessica Parker and Anna Wintour.
The Sex and the City star and Vogue empress are hosting a fundraising fashion show for the presidential contender during Fashion Week in New York City.
The Sept. 9 shindig at the Charles Nolan Studio will feature designs from Beyoncé and Tina Knowles for House of Dereon, Diane Von Furstenberg, Marc Jacobs, Zac Posen, Juicy Couture, Narciso Rodriguez and Proenza Schouler, among others.
Back in June, Michelle Obama attended and spoke at a money raiser hosted by Wintour and her pal designer Calvin Klein.
No word if the potential first lady will be slipping into a pair of Jimmy Choos and a DVF wrapdress to attend next month's to-do.
It's a Special Tim Gunn Quote Day
Tim Gunn is out talking to everyone today—well, except us (what’s up with that, Tim?)—and he’s got plenty to say.
Let's start with Us Weekly: Tim likes Michelle Obama’s fashion choices over Cindy McCain’s. "She epitomizes class and American style. She looks approachable." Meanwhile, Cindy, "with her button-down suits and blouses—looks like she's duct-taped."
All right, now it’s People’s turn. Apparently, he disapproves of Katie Holmes’ pegged jeans. “I have to say, Katie Holmes has become so much more sophisticated in so many ways, but I think she’s in a dip right now. I can’t explain it.” We can explain it—it's an acquired taste, and after a slow gossip month, Katie's jeans are pretty exciting.
And what does he think about a certain Disney Channel star? You gotta jump first...
