Drew Barrymore apparently whipped him good.

A source tells E! News that Justin Long, who remains "distraught" over being dumped by the Charlie's Angels star, has dropped out of the roller derby comedy "Whip It!" which marks Barrymore's feature directorial debut.

"He couldn't stand working with her and not being with her," the Long insider says. "He's too upset."

The X-Files: The Truth Is in Here

David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson AP Photo/Chris Pizzello

Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny both turned out for the Los Angeles premiere of X-Files: I Want to Believe at Grauman's Chinese Theatre Wednesday night, resulting in an unexplained phenomenon.

When the very pregnant Gillian (she's due in October) leaned in to whisper to her costar, it seems like her entire Moschino-clad body followed.

We asked you what her twin peaks might have been trying to tell David, and Fighting nicely came up with the winner above.

From rb: If you pull that chain just right the baby will pop out.

From janagoldhill: I want to believe...this is the Scully-Mulder love child we've been waiting for.

From Mike: Well, now that we have made The X-files, let's make an X-rated movie.

Latest Bachelor Returns to, Well, Bachelorhood

Matt Grant, The Bachelor ABC/CRAIG SJODIN

We...are...shocked!

Former Bachelor Matt Grant and the recipient of his most important rose, actress Shayne Lamas, have broken off their engagement after publicly pretending that they were meant to be for two whole months, People reports.

"We tried hard to make it work but we realized that we were both heading in different directions," the duo said in a statement. "We truly care about each other and will remain close friends."

Just so long as they don't have to spend any time with each other, apparently.

Publisher Throws the Book at Foxy Brown, Lil Kim

Being incarcerated may be a pretty good excuse, but Simon & Schuster apparently doesn't care what led to Lil Kim and Foxy Brown's writers block.

The New York-based publisher sued the rappers Thursday, intending to get its money back after paying out generous advances for books that the ladies never completed.

According to the dual lawsuits filed in New York State Supreme Court, Simon & Schuster gave Kim, whose real name is Kimberly Jones, $40,000 in 2003 for a novel that was supposed to be finished the following year. Brown was then paid $75,000 in 2005 to pen her autobiography, which was tentatively titled Broken Silence.

"Both accepted the money, and both books never were delivered," S&S spokesman Adam Rothberg told Bloomberg.com.

Sex, Drugs and Saved By the Bell

Saved by the Bell NBC

Dustin Diamond, the geek (below right) who loved playing Screech so much he went around for seconds and then made a sex tape (not really related, but had to be said), will be dictating a Saved by the Bell tell-all to a ghostwriter.

Does that make you so excited? If not, this juicy tidbit ought to:

According to New York Magazine, Behind the Bell (cute title, no?) will feature "sexual escapades among castmembers, drug use and hardcore partying.”

Why, those are three of our favorite things! This the best news we've heard since Beverly Hills 90210 was making a comeback.

A-List Secrets: Inside Sienna's Naked-Pic Hissy Fit

Sienna Miller, Balthazar Getty BAUER-GRIFFIN.COM
More from Ask the Answer Bitch

So Sienna Miller stands around topless on a boat and a hotel balcony, and she gets to sue the British tabs who published the photos? How does that work? Wasn't she visible for the world to see?
—Peter, St. Paul

She was.

In the States, if starlets stood on boats—clearly visible to the mortified public, wearing nothing but their egos—we'd probably get to sue them, for traumatizing us with their concave boobies and horrifically jutting collarbones.

But not so in Britain. This week, Sienna Miller filed a suit in her home country, claiming two tabloids invaded her privacy by publishing topless photos of her and boyfriend Balthazar Getty on vacation in Italy. See the incredible reason why Miller just might win—and what Naomi Campbell has to do with all of this—after the jump.

Ex-Pumpkins Sue for Tomorrow

Smashing Pumpkins Virgin

A couple of former Pumpkins are ripe for courting.

James Iha and D'Arcy Wretzky-Brown, original strummers for alt-rock hitmakers the Smashing Pumpkins, have sued Virgin Records America, claiming the band's former longtime label screwed them out of royalties for ringtones, file downloads and other "electronic transmissions."

According to the lawsuit filed Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Virgin inked an exclusive deal with frontman Billy Corgan in 2005 to license their tunes without Iha's and D'arcy's OKs.

"Such unauthorized commercial exploitation by Virgin constitutes a material breach under a recording agreement" the plaintiffs and Corgan entered into with the label in 1998, which included clauses covering distribution channels and "technology...hereafter developed," the suit states.
