The Miley Cyrus-Nick Jonas-Selena Gomez Love Triangle Continues in Song
You know how the Lohan family communicates with each other through press statements and MySpace blogs? Well that’s kind of how the Disney kids communicate, except through thinly veiled song lyrics.
Like this past summer when Miley Cyrus bitched about the "7 Things" she hates about some guy, especially how he makes her love him. That was totally all about Nick Jonas! And then Nick had a song on the new Jonas Brothers album called “Sorry” about him and a special someone “going our separate ways.” Could he have been talking about Miley?
Now, Selena Gomez is getting in on the meaningful lyric game with a song titled “I’m Sorry,” which she tells Twist about:
Jonas Brothers Wipe Out Staind
Forget OxyClean, it's the Jonas Brothers who have the real Staind-fighting power.
Staind was making a play to top the charts with The Progress of Illusion, thereby joining U2, Metallica and the Dave Matthews Band as the only modern rock bands to land four consecutive No. 1 albums. Instead, Staind got wiped out by the clean-cut Jonases.
The siblings' A Little Bit Longer sold 147,000 copies for the week ended Sunday, per Nielsen SoundScan, to hold their place at the top of the Billboard 200. In contrast, The Illusion of Progress sold just 92,000 copies at No. 3, trailing Kid Rock's Rock N Roll Jesus at No. 2 with 101,000 discs.
Video: Disney Diva Demi Takes a Dive
While taking a bow for her opening-act stint for the Jonas Brothers in Chicago, singer and Camp Rock star Demi Lovato does an impromptu stage dive, as in, she dives into the stage (about 25 seconds in).
But she once again proves the truism that it's not how many times you fall, but how many times you get up that's most important, by jumping up immediately after the fall and acting like a gymnast who just stuck her dismount.
That's showbiz! Rock on, Demi.
O Jonas Brothers, Where Art Thou? No. 1
Keeping up with the Joneses is nothing compared to keeping up with the Jonases.
The Jonas Brothers—Joe, Kevin and Nick—just landed the third-biggest opening week of the year. Their latest album sold a whopping 525,000 copies to debut at No. 1, one of three Jonas-powered joints in the top 10.
A Little Bit Longer, which sold north of 200,000 on its first day in stores last week, trails only Lil Wayne's million-plus Tha Carter III and Coldplay's 721,000-copy Viva la Vida as the year's biggest debuts, per Nielsen SoundScan.
If that weren't enough, the Jonas boys are just the second sibling act to top the charts since the Bee Gees reigned supreme in the 1970s. (The Isley Brothers' Body Kiss accomplished the feat in 2003.)
The Jonases were all over the place. The Disneyfied band's eponymous sophomore album, released just over a year ago, inched its way back up the charts to No. 10, selling 31,000 copies. This marks the first time in nearly a decade that a group simultaneously claimed two top 10 spots. ('N Sync did it last in January 1999.)
A-List Secrets: Why You Don't Get a Backstage Pass
How do you get VIP or backstage passes at concerts? I'm not a crazy, but I would love to meet Foo Fighters next time they play here.
—Jenna, Melville, N.Y.
I'd like to take this opportunity to dedicate this column to Kevin, That Other Jonas, who gets such little love from the kids. Everyone is always going on about Foo Fighters or Rihanna or the two hot Jonas Brothers. Doesn't anyone want to hang out backstage with What's-His-Name Jonas? Kevin? No?
Anyway, no matter. From what I learned today from Industry insiders, you stand very little chance of a backstage meeting with any of the above. Sorry. Actually, no I'm not. But I am fairly certain in my convictions. Find out exactly what's wrong with you after the jump.
The Jonas Brothers' Wax Appeal
The Jonas Brothers—Kevin, Joe and Nick—showed up for the unveiling of their very own wax figures at Madame Tussauds in Washington, D.C., on Monday.
And while we find the wax replicas sorta lacking in the good-looks department—Kevin suffers, especially—that didn't stop the first 50 rabid fans allowed into the exhibit from pawing at the faux bros. Truly disturbing.

Taylor Swift's Got a Fan in Joe Jonas
Joe Jonas appears to be more than just friends with country singer Taylor Swift. At the very least, he's a devoted fan.
Joe, 19, attended Swift's concert at the Cruzan Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, Fla., Sunday night, E! News has learned exclusively. Swift, 18, was the opening act for Rascal Flatts.
"He arrived about five minutes before the show started and stood next to the soundboard," says Mishelle Rivera, assistant promotions director at Miami's Y100 radio station, who watched the concert just a few feet from the middle Jonas.
"He was wearing a Yankees baseball hat and trying no to be noticed. He was really into the show. You could tell he was really focused on her."
Who's Burnin' Up as a Cop?
We thought this edition of "Guess who?" was going to be a real challenge. Then we realized the impossibly tight pants, slip-on Vans and adoring girls in the background would make this cop's true identity a little too obvious.
But let's play anyway.
Can you guess the guy behind that faux mustache? (And if you know his full name, you'll get some extra respect from us.)
Selena Gomez: Nick Jonas Is An Amazing Guy
Just like the family-friendly roles she plays onscreen, Selena Gomez kept things G-rated during an interview with Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM show Tuesday morning.
Grilled over the ongoing rumors that she's dating Jonas Bro/Miley Cyrus ex Nick Jonas, the poised actress replied: "Well, he's an amazing guy, Ryan. Anybody would be very lucky to be dating him."
When pressed, Selena would only say, "I'm close to all the brothers." Which includes Team Demi and Selena supporter and her unofficial "big brother" Kevin.
Fine. But we hope Nick's the one who's got her heart. They'd make such a wholesome couple, don't ya think?
Jonas Brothers Keep the Miley vs. Selena Feud Alive
The Jonas Brothers left their New York City hotel Sunday to the usual sound of shrieking tweens—which is just like any other day for them, except Kevin decided to stir things up with a “Team Demi and Selena” shirt.
Not only does this make us almost positive that the bros are behind this whole feud that both Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez say doesn’t exist, it also proves that Kevin would like more attention.
There's no way either Nick or Joe could wear such a shirt—that would be a serious drama bomb worthy of an Us Weekly cover. But have Kevin, the oldest brother who gets the least amount of tween doting, wear it, and the other two come off clean. Meanwhile, Kev gets some much-needed attention and keeps this silly fight going.
Good work, boys. You got mad skillz.
Miley Cyrus Confession: Nick and I Were in Love!
It's really no shock that Miley Cyrus has finally admitted she and Nick Jonas dated. However, she does have everyone talking about it this morning because of her new—and very candid—remarks in the September issue of Seventeen.
The Hannah Montana star opens up like never before about her and Nick's two-year relationship.
Read on to get all her dishy confessions...
Ugly Betty Costar: Lindsay Plagued by Paparazzi
Marc Indelicato would have loved to have gotten to know Lindsay Lohan when she shot her Ugly Betty episodes, but it was kinda impossible.
"Everyone has been asking me how Lindsay was, and really all I can say is that there was so much paparazzi that it's really hard to get to know the girl, because they're like all over the place," says Indelicato, who costars as Betty's nephew, Justin, on the hit ABC sitcom. "But she was really nice and was having a lot fun on the set."
Indelicato, as well as most of the rest of the cast, has relocated to New York to shoot the next season of Ugly Betty. And at just 14 years old, this boy has some big dreams—and he's doing what he can to make sure they come true...
