Sarah Silverman came to terms with Jimmy Kimmel. Kathy Griffin called a truce with Jesus.

Such were the overtures made at last night's Creative Arts Emmy Awards, where Silverman won her first career statuette for her, um, emphatic Jimmy Kimmel Live contribution, "I'm F--king Matt Damon," and Griffin scored her second straight win for My Life on the D-List.

The victorious Silverman thanked her cowriters and her A-list costar, even though Damon, she said, "had very little to do with this being popular."

Silverman also paid tribute to Kimmel, with whom she uncoupled in July.

"I'd like thank Jimmy Kimmel, who broke my heart…" she said, before reversing course for punchline purposes, and restating, "who will always have a place in my heart."

Matt Damon Calls Palin Pick "Absurd"

Matt Damon is obviously not hunting for any goodwill from Sarah Palin.

During an interview with the Associated Press, the Oscar winner doesn't hesitate to express his negative feelings about the Republican V.P. hopeful, saying that the idea of her running the country is not only a "terrifying possiblity," but is like "a really bad Disney movie."

"The hockey mom, you know, 'Oh, I'm just a hockey mom from Alaska,' and she's the president and facing down Vladimir Putin using the folksy stuff she learned at the hockey rink. It's absurd. I don't understand why more people aren't talking about how absurd it is."

But tell us how you really feel, Matt.

The truly bipartisan spot will run on TV beginning Aug. 24.

The Bourne Obesity, or How Matt Got Fat

Matt Damon, The Informant Andrew Shawaf, PacificCoastNews.com

We've been keeping our eye on Matt Damon, and not just because he's the Sexiest Man Alive. For quite some time, Damon had seemed to be plumping up like Ball Park Frank.

While some had speculated he was wearing a fat suit, Damon now admits to People his flab is 100 percent all-natural man meat.

Yep, there's now more Matt Damon to f--k love. The one-time action hero packed on between 20 and 30 pounds for his role in the upcoming thriller The Informant, which we’re guessing is about a whistler blower at a pretzel, beer and doughnut factory.

They're some of the sexiest men on the planet, for certain. They're also some of the do-goodingest.

Not On Our Watch, the activist group of which the trio are founding fathers (along with Ocean's abettor Don Cheadle), has already donated $500,000 to the relief effort. Rambo, Clooney, Others Offer Help to Myanmar

Rambo Lionsgate

In the wake of the horrifying cyclone that hit Myanmar, which is estimated to have killed between 100,000 and 200,000 people and displaced as many as 1.5 million more, celebrities have responded in different ways.

Ben Stiller, Téa Leoni, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have recorded PSAs for UNICEF, while Not on Our Watch, the nonprofit cofounded by George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Don Cheadle, Matt Damon and others, has already pledged half a million dollars to Save the Children.

Even Sylvester Stallone used a Japanese press conference for the DVD release of the latest Rambo installment, which features the character battling it out in Myanmar, to speak out. "I think what's going to come out of this devastating cyclone—and the fact that our film has made it much more apparent of the violence that these people live under—I think there's going to be great social change in that country, because they can't hide anymore," said the actor, who also showed off his bow-hunting technique.

For more information about how to help, go to UNICEF, the Red Cross, Save the Children, Oxfam or other aid agencies.

Matt Damon's Not So Easy on the Eyes

After all his "I'm not worthy" squawking when People gave Matt Damon the Sexiest Man Alive title, we suddenly get the self-deprecation.

Pleated pants, penny loafers and a visit to Supercuts—all for his role in The Informant, shooting in Illinois—and suddenly Hottie McDamon is just another aging suburban dad as he claimed. What a downer.

Matt Damon to Be a Dad Again

Matt Damon has both a new Bourne and a newborn in the works.

The Bourne Ultimatum star, 37, and his wife, Luciana, 32, are expecting their second child together, his rep, Jennifer Allen, confirmed to E! News.

The expectant parents tied the knot in December 2005.

On the professional side, Damon is currently shooting the thriller Green Zone in Morocco.

Meanwhile, on the heels of The Bourne Ultimatum's triple victory at the 2008 Oscars, the actor recently signed on to make a fourth film in the action franchise.
