Miley Cyrus: "Coolest. Person. Ev-er!"
If only every 15-year-old could have Miley Cyrus' self-esteem.
"Coolest. Person. Ev-er!" she joked to People in a recent interview when asked how she would describe herself.
Then, upon reflection, she replied, "I think I'm chill. I am very hyper but I'm very carefree."
Aside from her calm and collected side, Cyrus also reveals a few of her oh-so-teenage proclivities, such as her desire for a new car when she turns 16, her big crush on the coolest handbags and her beauty regimen—mascara and a suntan.
Ah, to still be years away from voting age.
New Miley Cyrus Video: Teddy Bear Overload
Rest easy, Miley Cyrus fans. Breakout may be the title of her upcoming album, but for us, the 15-year-old is clearly not straying very far from the bubble-gum pop persona that has made her a tween sensation.
This weekend saw the release of the video for her new single, "7 Things," which finds Miley, along with her "girlfriends," lashing out at their exes—complete with hurt looks, the occasional teardrop and, just to make sure the angst is properly conveyed, enough stuffed animals to put Build-A-Bear to shame.
So check it out and let us know what you think. Is Miley shaking up that Hannah Montana image of hers—or is it simply a case of Kelly Clarkson lite?
Miley Cyrus Is Just Like Us! (If We Were on the Cover of Billboard)
Miley Cyrus graces the latest cover of Billboard, dishing about coming of age, being taken seriously as an artist and the controversy surrounding her naughty, naughty shoulder blade.
We've always loved us some Miley, but we find it hard to take a woman too seriously when all 90 pounds of her is saying stuff like, "I’m a good ol’ Southern girl that likes her Cracker Barrel at 9 o’clock at night and if I want it, gosh darn, I’m going to eat it. I’m not going to make myself miserable."
Uh-huh. Here are more of her "imperfections" in some Hannah highlights:
Selena Gomez: No Feuding With Miley Cyrus
Selena Gomez wants everyone to know she's not feuding with Miley Cyrus.
For about the past six weeks, Gomez has been dubbed "the next Miley Cyrus," with Disney execs hoping to fast-track Gomez into even bigger stardom because they were getting nervous about some of the controversies surrounding the Hannah Montana star.
Billy Ray Rehashes Miley's Photo Flap
Just when we thought we were out, Billy Ray Cyrus pulled us back in.
The country star and father of Miley has spoken out for the first time about his daughter's topless Vanity Fair photo shoot, giving his take on the controversial shots on this morning's Today show.
"I didn't know they were gonna strip her down and wrap her in a blanket," he said while promoting the new season of Nashville Star.
"My dad always told me, the more you stomp in poop, the more it stinks. So I was just, 'OK, this happened. We got to deal with it,'" he said, before relaying words of wisdom once given to him. "The turkey with the longest neck's always going to be the one everyone's shooting at."
Wait, did he just call Miley a turkey?
Teens Choose Justin, Miley, Gossip
OMFG. Consider the Gossip Girl word sufficiently spread.
The CW hit received a leading—and whopping—14 nominations this morning for the Teen Choice 2008 Awards.
Chris Brown checked in with nine nods, Miley Cyrus (who will host the ceremony) scored four nods, and perpetual nominee Justin Timberlake racked up three.
Timberlake is the awards' winningest artist, having aggregated 21 surfboards—the event's laid-back hardware of choice—since 1999.
Mandy: "Miley Is Totally Single"
Miley Cyrus is “totally single.” That’s what Miley’s BFF and dance partner Mandy Jiroux told Ryan Seacrest today.
Mandy appeared on Ryan’s KIIS-FM show this morning to promote the M&M Cru’s latest YouTube dance video (which just so happens to feature Seacrest) and dispel rumors that 15-year-old Miley got mom Tish in a tizzy by dating a 22-year-old backup dancer.
“I don’t know where they would get that,” Mandy says. “She’s not dating a backup dancer or a 22-year-old. She’s totally single.”
Burning Q's: Jonas Bro Theft & Way Broke Stars
Did Selena Gomez steal Nick Jonas from Miley Cyrus?
—J.D.
Selena Gomez? The baby-faced 15-year-old? Oh, come on. How can a zygote steal a fetus from an embryo? Honestly, people. I step out for three seconds and the quality of your questions just plummets. Plummets! Let's dispose of them quickly and neatly in a new round of Burning Q's.
Why are there so many reports of broke celebrities? A lot of them earned millions during their careers—where did all of this money go?

Billy Ray Cyrus' Craaazy Crawdad-Catching Day
He's made millions, but Billy Ray Cyrus is still just a country boy at heart.
"We’re down in the creek, amongst just ourselves and nature, and we’re catching these crawdads," the host of Nashville Star tells Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM morning show of a recent outing with his lesser-known daughter Noah.
But his boondocks bliss was soon interrupted.
Hannah Montana Saves Ferris
No children were harmed in the making of this film. Barely.
During filming on Hannah Montana: The Movie Tuesday, wind blew a projection screen into a Ferris wheel full of passengers, resulting in minor injuries for a few extras and crew members.
No serious injuries were reported and neither emergency personnel nor law enforcement was dispatched to the scene. The kids who were on the ride at the time were examined as a precaution.
Miley Cyrus Gives Herself the Bird
Miley Cyrus has a new friend—and a feathered one at that.
The Hannah Montana star was seen in Los Angeles Saturday with her pet bird, Zazu, and politely told the paparazzi that "she just got done shooting a music video" and now she's "off to eat."
Later, heading out of a local restaurant, the tween sensation graciously smiled and flashed her famous peace sign, saying her dinner "was awesome."
Meanwhile, we've just learned that Zazu in Swahili means "appetizer."
Miley Breaks Out of Her Hannah Montana Shell
Even with her eyes closed, Miley Cyrus is staring into her future.
Gripping the biggest microphone we've ever seen, the 15-year-old appears to be demonstrating on the cover of her upcoming album, Breakout—her first solo effort to bear no trace of Hannah Montana (minus all the Disney-related promos)—that she's ready to rock, albeit demurely and in that looking-down-for-love-of-the-music way.
