New Season of Project Runway Not In Till '09

Project Runway Season 5 Bravo

Project Runway is going to be auf the air for a little longer than expected.

Lifetime, which will be the Emmy-nominated series' new home once the current cycle ends, said Friday that it is delaying the premiere of the show's sixth season until January 2009.

"With this move, the series will resume its traditional cycle of two seasons per year," a network rep told Entertainment Weekly. "We look forward to ringing in the new year by giving Project Runway loyal fans a superlative season six with Heidi, Tim, Nina and Michael. The new date and time will be announced soon.”

Court Clears Joe Francis for Celeb Apprentice

Joe Francis Krista Kennell/ZUMA Press

Joe Francis doesn’t have to worry about a little old tax-dodging trial to get in the way of his budding TV stardom.

A federal judge today ruled that the Girls Gone Wild mastermind will be allowed to curry Donald Trump's favor on the new season of Celebrity Apprentice.

Trouble is, he's not doing the new season of Celebrity Apprentice.

Francis' lawyers initially made the Apprentice request weeks ago, but in the meantime, Francis has passed on the NBC reality show and instead, he and the Donald have concocted a different project.

"Trump has asked me to do another show with him. We got a ton of offers when he announced my involvement [in Celebrity Apprentice]. It's a better deal because it's my own show," Francis exclusively tells E! News.

CBS Goes for Gold With Gabon Survivors

Survivor: Gabon Monty Brinton/CBS

Time will tell if Eden proves heavenly for CBS' ratings.

The network has unveiled the 18 castaways for the 17th installment of its time-tested and slightly ratings-worn reality stalwart, Survivor Gabon—Earth's Last Eden.

Befitting its verbose title, the new season marks the Emmy-winning show's first time broadcasting in high definition, and will, per host Jeff Probst, live up to its name.

"In a strange coincidence to Earth's Last Eden, good vs. evil emerges as a major theme this season. I think the audience will quickly identify with one group or the other."

Onetime Partridge Danny Bonaduce is doing his best to convince a court he's nothing more than a teddy bear.

A bodybuilding, admittedly steroid-using teddy bear, but a teddy bear all the same.

This, at least, according to recently released court papers in his nearly yearlong legal battle with Survivor alum Jonny Fairplay over their onstage tussle at a reality-TV awards show last fall.

Body language experts, welcome to your field day.

Songwriter Kara DioGuardi, the newest American Idol judge—and, if passive-aggressive morning radio comments are anything to go on, reputed bane of Paula Abdul's existence—got a taste of the media blitz to come in New York Tuesday morning, when she joined up with her critiquing colleagues for the first time.

And while the 37-year-old new recruit made the most of her first photo op in advance of the show's Big Apple tryouts, her fellow colleagues got in their first sound bites of season eight.

Idol Adds a Fourth Judge

It's time to get a bigger table.

Five months before the new season of American Idol is set to kick off (and apparently trying to steal some of Dancing With the Stars' thunder), producers are shaking things up in a big way, messing with what was until now a winning formula and adding a fourth permanent judge to the table.

Joining Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson when the eighth season of the reality juggernaut begins in January is prolific singer-songwriter Kara DioGuardi.

"Believe me, it's outta nowhere for me, too," DioGuardi assured shocked viewers on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show this morning.

"I got a call from my agent, saying, you know, they're looking for a fourth judge, and I was like, 'Uh, do you have the wrong number? Why are you calling me?'

"So they met with me, and three days ago I got the call to go to New York—and here I am."

The rumors were partly true: Lance Bass will be among the celeb hoofers on the forthcoming seventh season of Dancing With the Stars.

His pro partner, however—much to the chagrin of the blogging public, if not outspoken pro Karina Smirnoff—will be of the fairer persuasion.

Bass leads the roster of 13 for the latest installment of ABC's hot-stepping hit, a group of contestants cobbled together from the worlds of music, acting, reality TV and, in a bit of perfect timing, Olympic-caliber sport.

Rachel Zoe Is "Almost Like a Food Pusher." Really?!

Rachel Zoe Dimitrios Kambouris/WireImage.com

Maybe Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Richie simply missed the candy bowl that was set out.

Given that some of Rachel Zoe's biggest clients were at their smallest while she was busy dressing them, it's understandable why the following might be a little hard to, er, swallow.

"I am very pro-eating," says the celebrity stylist while promoting her new Bravo reality show, The Rachel Zoe Project, premiering Sept. 9. "And if you ask anyone that is in my personal life or professional life, I'm almost a food pusher."

Mmm, and what exactly is your definition of push there, Zoe?

Tila Tequila's Girlfriend: Not the Right Kind of Fine

This probably isn't the kind of shot that Tila Tequila was talking about.

Courtenay Semel, daughter of former Yahoo! mogul Terry Semel and current girlfriend of the equal-opportunity MTV star, was cited Wednesday in Las Vegas for misdemeanor battery after allegedly hitting a nightclub security guard on the back of the head.

DeAnna's Tips for Landing the New Bachelor

The Bachelorette finale ABC/ADAM LARKEY

If there's anyone who knows what it takes to get a proposal from Jason Mesnick, it's DeAnna Pappas.

"You definitely have to do something to put yourself out there to get their attention but don’t be that girl," the former Bachelorette star told Yo on E! Thursday when asked what advice she has for the 25 ladies who will vie for Mesnick's heart on the next season of The Bachelor.

"Have some respect," Pappas added, also reminding potential suitorettes of Mesnick's love of traveling and dancing. "He is going to notice you. It's just like when a guy walks into a bar and you see a bunch of girls. You know right off the bat five of them that you know are hot and you really, really want to talk to.

"You’re going to remember those five, I promise. The other ones, it’s going to take a little bit, but you know once you remember them, it works."

Jason Mesnick on The Bachelorette ABC/CRAIG SJODIN

When reality TV gives you lemons, you make prime-time lemonade.

Recent Bachelorette reject Jason Mesnick, whose heart DeAnna Pappas passed over in her own second-time-around quest for love, has signed on to be the new Bachelor when the ABC series returns in January 2009.

The hunky single dad from Seattle had been all primed to propose, ring and everything, when Pappas stopped him from getting down on one knee, leaving him—and plenty of viewers—crushed. Instead, she opted for 26-year-old snowboarder Jesse Csincsak.

Now Mesnick gets another shot at making the perfect match. The hunt is on for 25 ladies willing to bare their hearts, souls and, in some cases, claws on national TV.
